Plans gain optional steps and a step-before gesture, every deadline and plan link opens its record, the Deliverables table sorts by its column titles, and Operations installs on your phone as an app with push notifications.

Plans

The plan canvas takes two new gestures and a clearer read.

Added

Mark a step optional. An optional step does not gate the steps after it: they become current as soon as every other step before them is done. The step still holds a status and still counts.

Added

Add step before creates a step in front of the selected one. The new step takes over every gate the selected step held, so everything that reached it now reaches it through the new step. It works on a root step too.

An optional step wears a dotted border, and the edges that leave it are dotted to match.

The canvas counts moved to the top right corner, above the detail panel. The tool switch is now a toggle group, so pressing the active tool holds it.

Links open their record

A link on a deadline or a plan step is now a real link.

Added

Every deadline link and plan step link opens the page of the record it names. The deadline panel, the deadlines table, and the plan step panel all render their link titles as links.

A task link lands on the task row itself. The row is revealed, scrolled to, and highlighted, and no dialog opens.

The plan page and the project tree page accept a deep link that selects and frames the named node on arrival.

Deliverables

The organisation-wide Deliverables page gains sorting and a completed filter.

Added

The Status, Updated, and Deadline column titles sort the table. A click on another column sorts by it in its natural order; a click on the active column reverses it. A deliverable with no deadline sits last in both directions.

Operations installs as an app and can reach you when the tab is closed.

People and notifications

Every person on the updates timeline now reads from the identity profile: the author of a comment, the actor of an event, the viewer beside the composer, and the mention candidates.

The mention popover wears the assignee picker's surface, so the two read as one control.

Every entry in the organisation switcher is a real link. A ctrl-click or a cmd-click opens that workspace in a new tab; a plain click still switches the current tab.

The Project Tree is hidden in production while it is still in development. Every stored tree link still renders.

Quality of life

The Create deadline button in the deadline popover takes the normal size, so it matches the date field, the time field, and the assign trigger above it.

The assign trigger shows its whole text. "Add people" and "N assigned" no longer lose their descenders.

Strike synchronisation

Operations is the server Strike syncs against. Two changes in that layer.

A session launch travels as a request with a deadline instead of a heartbeat. Accepting a launch is one atomic step, so two machines can never take the same request, and a request that times out can never report as launched.

A device belongs to the account that registered it. Presence, doing claims, session states, launches, and detaches are refused for a device another account owns.
